By using the MewScan website or app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. MewScan is an independent Pokémon card companion. Public App Store and Google Play listings are not available yet.
What MewScan does
MewScan helps identify supported Pokémon Trading Card Game printings, browse a card catalog, organize a collection on your device, and view market estimates and price history when data is available. Recognition results are suggestions; check the card’s name, set, language, number, and finish before saving a match.
MewScan does not grade condition, authenticate a card, verify a slab, provide professional appraisal, or guarantee that a card is complete, genuine, or correctly priced. Catalog and price coverage can be missing, ambiguous, delayed, or changed by the data source.
Market information
Current price estimates and portfolio totals use available TCGplayer market data distributed through TCGCSV. They are informational estimates, not offers to buy or sell, completed-sale amounts, appraisals, tax advice, or investment advice. Actual sale proceeds depend on the exact printing and finish, condition, location, timing, platform fees, shipping, taxes, and the buyer and seller.
Do not rely on a MewScan estimate as the only basis for buying, selling, insuring, or valuing a card. Verify current market information independently and inspect the physical card.
Your collection and device
MewScan stores your saved collection locally on the device and does not currently provide cloud account sync. You are responsible for keeping any records or exports you want to retain. MewScan’s CSV export is for sharing collection rows; it is not a complete device backup or restore file. Card identifiers and finish details may be sent to the MewScan API when you request price estimates or portfolio history. More detail appears in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Use MewScan lawfully and do not interfere with the app, its services, or other users’ access. Do not attempt to bypass service limits, reverse-engineer protected service components, or misuse the catalog, price service, or image CDN. We may suspend access to services when needed to protect their security or availability.
Availability and changes
Features and online services may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable. MewScan may update the app, catalog, market integrations, or these terms. The app currently depends on internet access for catalog details, card artwork, and price information even though card recognition runs on-device.
Purchases
If paid features or in-app purchases are offered in a public release, the applicable price, duration, renewal, and purchase conditions will be shown by the app store and in the purchase flow before you confirm. App store billing, cancellations, refunds, and payment methods are handled under the relevant store’s terms and processes. No current price or subscription plan is promised by this page.
Intellectual property and independence
MewScan’s website design, app code, and original branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Pokémon, its characters, card artwork, and related names and marks belong to their respective rights holders. MewScan is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Pokémon rights holders. Nothing on this site grants you rights to third-party content.
Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website, app, catalog, and market information are provided as available, without a promise that every match, record, estimate, or service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, MewScan is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss resulting from use of an estimate or an incorrect or unavailable catalog result. These terms do not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.
